Pictures That Will Make You Feel Like You’re 99 Years Old

1. First off, we're closer to 2040 than we are to 1995!

2. And this fall there will be kids in high school who were born in the year 2004. 2004!!!

3. Which means they’ve never lived in a world without Mean Girls or The Incredibles.

4. And, for some of them, there has never been a new episode of Friends in their lifetime.

5. They've also never lived in a world where BeyoncĂ© wasn't a solo artist...

6. ...and NSYNC hasn't released a new album during their lifetime.

7. And, also, you probably own MP3s older than them.

8. Paris and Nicole first came into our lives 15 years ago on The Simple Life.

9. The Sims is officially an "adult." It just turned 18 years old.

10. Also, you've been singing the Krusty Krab Pizza song for almost 20 years (the episode aired in 1999).

11. You first wanted to be a Power Ranger 25 years ago...

12. ...which was also when Jurassic Park first hit the big screen.

13. All the teen stars on this ICONIC cover are now in their thirties.

Amanda Bynes, Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen, Mandy Moore, Hilary Duff, Alexis Bledel, Evan Rachel Wood, Raven-Symoné, and Lindsay Lohan.

14. Kids these days have no idea what Game Boys are

15. …and an iPod classic means diddly-squat to them

16. They also could never comprehend this struggle.

17. Everyone's dream phone, the Motorola Razr, is in a MUSEUM.

18. Kids staying home sick from school today probably have NO idea who Bob Barker is… Drew Carey has been hosting The Price Is Right for over a DECADE.

19. And they'll never know that a hashtag was once known as the pound sign.

20. And if none of that made you feel old, just remember:

Before You Go See "Black Panther," Here Are Things You Should Know.

1. Yes, Black Panther is a Marvel superhero movie and cinematic treat — but it's also a masterful exploration of black identity and the African diaspora.

While most of the movie is set in the fictional African nation of Wakanda, the film also addresses themes on the black American experience, Pan-Africanism, and the history of colonization.

2. You may have already seen Wakanda before...

The isolated country, hidden from the rest of the world and ruled over by King T'Challa, made a brief appearance in Captain America: Civil War.

3. And you should know that the producers drew inspiration from several African tribes to fully flesh out the costuming, characters, and cultures of Wakanda.

So much of what you'll see is based on real places and people.

4. The film's soundtrack is produced by Kendrick Lamar.

Lamar was originally only supposed to lend his talents for a couple of original tracks for the film, but after director Ryan Coogler screened some of the footage for him, the rapper ended up co-producing a full soundtrack with his label, Top Dawg Entertainment.

5. The resulting soundtrack, Black Panther: The Album, debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart on opening weekend.

6. Moreover, Black Panther also showcases and celebrates an incredible slew of strong female characters.

7. Despite being a relatively "new" hero in the Marvel universe, Black Panther has existed for decades.

The character was originally featured in a The Fantastic Four comic in 1966. Later on, he got his own series.

8. And he ended up becoming a very, very important character.

In addition to being the king of Wakanda and an Avenger, the character of T'Challa plays a major role in the comics. At some point, he was part of the Illuminati (a group of heroes who make all the important decisions pertaining to the Earth) and eventually had custody over one of the Infinity Gems.

9. The plot of the film is very much connected to the events of Captain America: Civil War.

The death of King T'Chaka plays a crucial role in both films, and a couple of characters from Civil War reappear in Black Panther.

10. And it's also connected to Avengers: Age of Ultron.

We've already met the arms dealer Ulysses Klaue in Age of Ultron, where he was a former friend of Tony Stark.

11. Vibranium, a fictional metal, is extremely important to Black Panther.

You'll learn that Wakanda has an almost unlimited reserve of vibranium, the most powerful metal in the Marvel cinematic universe — and what makes Captain America's shield and Vision's synthetic body.

12. This isn't the first time that someone has tried to bring Black Panther to the big screen.

In the '90s, the actor Wesley Snipes tried to make a movie about the Black Panther. Due to problems with the script, creative differences and special effect limitations, the project was never realized.

13. And it also isn't the first time you'll see Michael B. Jordan in a Marvel movie.

The actor played Johnny Storm (the Human Torch) in the reboot of the Fantastic Four. Now he gives life to the villain Killmonger.

14. Finally, be sure to stay through the end of the film — Black Panther important post-credit scenes.

It's a Marvel tradition.

Fruits That Can Make You Look Beautiful

To some people, beauty is overwhelmingly important; they turn to all manner of things to try and hold on to their youth, their beauty, or to try and find it. Creams and lotions and diets and surgery and…fruits?
Believe it or not, there are some fruits that can make you look beautiful.

1. Raspberries

Raspberries are an excellent way to revitalise your skin. Rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, and fibre, it’s a great food to help you get a good texture on your skin, slow down aging, and just feel that little bit more refreshed. It’s mainly the vitamin C that helps, rejuvenating your skin, making it healthy again.

2. Apples

Another great source of vitamin C to make your skin feel refreshed, apples are also an excellent source of vitamin A, which does the same, and serve as an anti-acne treatment, and a way to get rid of those pesky dark circles under your eyes. You can even add them to your face packs to help moisturise your skin and give it a radiant glow.

3. Grapes

Rich in flavonoids, anti-oxidants and possessing numerous anti-inflammatory properties, grapes are great for the health of your skin, health, and body. Hydroxyl acids contained in grapes are a great way to keep your skin fresh and wrinkle free, and grape juice serves as a brilliant means of ridding your skin of acne scars, and preventing pimples from occurring.

4. Papaya

A good source of vitamin C, calcium and fibre, papayas are a great way to give yourself skin that positively glows, as well as helping your body to function effectively – that fibre really does help get things moving along smoothly. It is also rich in antioxidants, and can assist in cleansing your blood of toxins.

5. Prunes

Prunes are, unfortunately, associated with old age, and probably always will be. However, what you need to know is that they are a great way to shed the kilos, among other things. Rich in fibre, they help your digestive system along (which we all know – prune juice is synonymous with “laxative”) and flush toxins out of your body. They also provide your body with plenty of energy to keep you active, as well as helping you lose weight.

6. Oranges

The vitamin C contained in oranges (and, in fact, all of the citrus fruits) helps your body with the construction of collagen, the tightening agent in your skin. So much so, as it happens, that orange peel and orange juice are frequently used in anti-aging creams, for the purpose of boosting collagen production and thus tightening the skin, removing wrinkles.

Fun Facts About Mario

Most of our childhood was spent in playing video games and Super Mario Bros was definitely a big part of it. In fact, the game became so popular that the characters, music, enemies and even background have become iconic cultural symbols. So check out these 10 fun Facts about Mario, a game that redefined our childhood.

1. Creation

He was named after the the landlord of Nintendo’s America office- Mario Segale who barged in the office demanding overdue rent. His creator, Shigeru Miyamoto drew him with a cap as he found drawing hair difficult. Mario also sported a mustache as it was better visible than a mouth given the kind of screen resolutions we had back then.

2. Previous Appearance

Before Mario got his own game and became a sensation, he made a brief entry in a video game called Donkey Kong. But then he was called “Jumpman” and was a carpenter, not a plumber as we know.

3. There was a cheat code for infinite lives

The game was hard and over an hour long and winning it seemed almost impossible. And what’s worse was if you lost all your lives, you would go back to the beginning, unless of course you knew the cheat code. Very few people knew that if you pressed A button and Start together, you could go back to the world you died in. I never knew!

4. Nemesis

Mario’s nemesis is Wario (made of “Warui”, Japanese word for bad and Mario). His brother Luigi’s rival is called Waluigi. Both the characters are voiced by Charles Martinet.

5. Luigi was green because of technological limitations

Luigi was designed for multiplayer purposes and most of us knew him as Green Mario or ‘Player 2’. He was designed as an exact copy of his brother Mario but obviously couldn’t have the same wardrobe as him. Moreover, there wasn’t enough memory left for him to have a new palette. So he borrowed the green color from Koopa’s shell.

6. Wart and Zelda

The villain from Mario Bros 2, Wart has only had one cross in one Nintendo game. It was in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. He goes by his original Japanese name Mamu and helped Link complete his quest by teaching him a song.

7. Mario would ride a dinosaur

During the NES days, Shigeru Miyamoto wanted Mario to ride a dinosaur when Super Mario Bros. Was released. But this couldn’t be achieved due to Nintendo’s technical limitations. However, when SNES came out, Miyomoto grabbed the opportunity and introduced Yoshi.

8. Once voiced by Optimus Prime

Over the years, Mario has had lot of voice actors including Charles Martinent and Captain Lou Albano. But there was once a time when he was voiced by Peter Cullen who also voiced Optimus Prime. This was when he showed up in 1983 show Saturday Supercade’s Donkey Kong shorts.

9. Power-Ups

These days when Mario travels through the Mario Land, one can spot various Power Ups such as flowers and mushrooms with eyes. But the first power-up to get eyes was the Starman. Every other power-up except him was drawn without any eyes initially.

10. Upgrades

The original Super Mario Bros. had power items such as the Super Mushroom and Fire Flower. The Super Mario Bros. 3 had other iconic power-ups such as the Super Leaf, Goomba’s shoe and Tanooki Suit. The series has been following such creative power-ups since then.
